Small Pistol Primers; Win or UNIS G

Winchester for sure. I've used them at various times over the years, early on in my reloading ventures they were all I could get. These days if I can't get CCI 500s, WSP is what I buy if they're available

I made my primer order and ended up with 5K Win SPP and 1K White River SPP. I’d really like to support American companies and the White River were $50/1000. I passed on the Ginex because they were the brass colored ones.

If the White River work out well I’ll probably order another 5K.

A friend also tag teamed with me to split the shipping and haz mat ($35 +$15) and he bought 5K Magtec LRP’s.

ETA: WR primers were $50/1000. I mistakenly wrote $40/1000 and corrected it

I've used a limited amount of the White River Lrp's. But not the any of the pistol primers. A couple of pistol shooters in our club have used the Ginex with no problem in stock pistols. One fellow has been getting FTF with the Fiocchi pistol primers at times from his G19. These are shooters from our steel challenge matches.

The mixed reviews on the Unis primers would push me to buy the Winchester. I really don't like the Winchester either!
I stopped using Winchester primers many years ago when I found that they didn't feed as smoothly through my primer tube loader. Interestingly, you find that most automated primer tube fillers are set to feed reliably with CCI SPP

When reading reviews on Ginex SPP, it is important not to mix reviews between their brass colored ones and their nickel colored ones. Many folks bought the brass colored ones to save $25 on 5k primers, forgetting the saying "You get what you pay for" and then complaining that their lightly sprung CZ wouldn't set them off.

This isn't just opinion based on reading reviews. I picked up 10k of the brass primers when the ad didn't specify (shame on you American Reloading) and found they weren't 100% reliable with striker guns...but they are 100% when shot through a hammer ignited gun. As a side note: they have been 100% reliable in my SIG P320, but not my S&W M&P9 or Glock G34

The only consistent complaint I've seen or heard about them is that they take more force to seat completely. This is true and is a matter of mathematics. They are Metric, which make them slightly wider in diameter

I have only used CCI, Federal, Winchester, and Remington primers for all my reloading. I have never had a single problem with any of them.
Personally, I stay away from all the other brands.
