its not american but as being a disabled vet and not getting alot of money anymore i buy what i can afford.

Thanks for your service, I also am a disabled vet, living on a disability pension, so yup I know all about it.

i bet half your guns arent from america.

Well that is definitely a bet you would loose. My collection is way into 3 digits and over 3/4 of those are in fact made in the U.S.A. As is ALL of my reloading equipment except for a digital scale.

Note my sig. line

Hmmmmm...

Is it just me or lately I am having to double check whether I am still on the "High Road" forum ... :D

Must be the hot weather or something ... :uhoh:

What in my reply is not High Road? Everything is wrote is the truth. I am a Veteran. I am on disability from injuries from the service.

I have a large collection in the 3 digits and most of them are made here in the U.S., as is ALL of my reloading equipment except for a scale.

I do have some powder that is imported.

I'm glad it's working for you. My problem with Smart Reloader is that they blatantly rip off other manufacturer's products. I don't care what country a company is from that does this. I will not support them.

As for PACT not having good reviews? This is the exact opposite from what you will find. They are assembled in the US with as many US made parts as possible. Unfortunately certain parts aren't made here. I have a PACT and RCBS digital. Both work equally well but I have found the PACT to be more accurate. It's also more sensitive which can be annoying with trickling powder. And I didn't go with their dispenser because it's slow and has to be recalibrated with every powder change.

Don't support companies that rip off other companies products. That's the biggest problem with Smart Reloader. Not that they're a foreign company.

Well, my experience with Smartreloader is terrible. I would rather use vice grips and water pipe than the stuff they pushed off as a "reloading press". As far as buying American made; all you market anylists, politicos, and reloading manufacturer "experts", can say and do as you like, but for this guy I will continue to buy anything with a made in USA sticker on it over chinese. I will continue to buy American made, Oregon made if possible, and preferrably Brookings made. At this point in time I would rather buy an inferior (?) tool if made in America than something produced in a communist, sworn to destroy America, country. My little bit won't make a whits worth of difference, but I feel a lot better when I look at an American flag knowing I support it...
I have a Smartreloader MarkXV1 and I love it I can load 50BMG with no problem as well as my other calibers. One of the best made presses I have looked at. And at $54.00 I am very happy. Also was very happy with my Lee Challanger press they I bought for $10 in 1980.
