I'm looking at getting a watch (it's my birthday after all -- plenty of justification there) and was leaning toward a Suunto Vector. Then I did a search and found out Suunto's got lots of new alternatives to the Vector, and Casio has their Pathfinders which seem to be the same concept, plus (optionally) RF time updates and solor call recharging.
Anyone have any advice on which way to go? Odds are it'll be a cool gadget most of the time, though it'll be very useful a few times a year. I tend to wear watches on the inside of my wrist, btw -- don't know that either is that resistant to scratches (as I'd certainly prefer a sapphire crystal, but that doesn't seem to be an option on either), but while I'm hard on watches I'm not *that* hard, as the Seiko Automatic Diver on my wrist only has a few scratches after a few years.
So, thoughts?
