Ok... So my father has had this S&W 622 for about 10 years and he hasn't really ever cleaned the gun besides oiling down and what not. So I took it apon myself and stripe it down and clean it...

I've done good and got it everything apart including barrel, I just can't get the barrel out. I slide the barrel back and I can't get it back far enough to get it out cause it comes into cantact with the slide catch that catches it when you want the chamber to be open...

Can anyone help, or ran into this problem and knows the fix...

    First, welcome to THR!

There really isn't any reason to remove the barrel on these guns unless you are replacing it. Just run a couple of patches or a bore snake through it.
