Can anyone give me a list of the smith and wesson model 60 dashes and the changes that came with each one.

You do realize there are 18 of them?

That's a LOT of typing!!

I can highly recommend the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson book though.

I've seen people do more than 18 : )

I might have to check out that book, it would save me alot of time in the future.

Thanks.

Also, keep in mind that because of space on the frame, the dash number was not stamped until the -10 variant or so. Just because there's "no dash" does NOT make it a "no dash" version on J-frames. This is unlike all the other frame sizes.

Thanks for that interesting tidbit. I have a Model 60 no dash that I submitted to the Smith DOB sticky, and it came back as manufactured in mid 1986. From the chart above, I assume that since it doesn't have a square butt and wasn't a NYCPD DAO, it's still a no dash?

That list leaves at least one out (unless I overlooked it.) Don't forget the other variation of the 60-1 (plainly stamped as such)...1 7/8" barrel with adjustable sights...660 of them made for Ashland Distributors.
