Just picked this up today. I believe it was unveiled at SHOT Show a couple months ago, but they aren't overly easy to find.

Its honestly the finest pistol I've seen from Smith & Wesson since the old Performance Center shut down. It features all stainless steel construction, a steel magwell, a tuned 3lb aluminum trigger, a threaded on comp, night sights, a fluted barrel, and a purple-blue PVD finish on the accents, which I think looks great. Weight is 42oz with an empty magazine. Price was $1700 OTD, which isn't cheap, but certainly inline with Walther's steel frame PDP Match. While its hard to match the Walther's quality, this M&P comes close and also offers more standard features.

Please enjoy the pics...

That's pretty cool. Congrats!

It's not my thing but I get why it's other people's.

Is it safe queen for you or....?

Been hoping a shop had one of these on hand, I bought last years Spec model, but this one is much nicer. Congrats!

Looks great! Interested in seeing how it shoots for you.

I love that purple-blue finish on the accents, it reminds me of the vintage Colts with the niter bluing accents. Very sharp look!

Did some shooting with this yesterday. It’s a very flat shooting pistol, as I expected. Very easy to shoot quickly and accurately.

By far, the best shooting M&P I’ve ever experienced, which is no surprise. Great gun

I'm just about to head out the door to pick mine up, debated selling last year's ODG green version, I like it, but think the V is just way nicer.

It’s the nicest M&P S&W has built yet.

Let me know your thoughts when you have it.

that Gun is Beast Mode! I prefer more classic styling but to each their own

They did have the Sig X5 Reserve at my shop. Wanted really bad

I love the feel of it. Blue is my favorite color, and I like how it all sort of blends together. I just noticed the sort of oil slick colors inside the mag well. I bought the ODG Spec model last year, this one blows it away. Now, if it outperforms my XC, I'm really gonna be cross..lol Haven't fired it yet, in the process of beginning the migration back north for spring/summer, but I'll get it out soon.

Yeah the inside of the magwell is stunning.

I wouldn’t say it’s going to beat the XC though, but then again, it’s less than half the price

I don't expect it to, it's just a cool looking and functional thing. I love the XC, and Sand Hawk, but they're both pretty dreary to look at..lol
