It's been a while since I've posted here.... but.

Does anybody have any information as to the sight adjustments for the elevation and windage knobs of the M&P15 by Smith & Wesson?

There are a few numbers in the elevation. the first one is a "Z" and I assume this is Zero. but then 4 clicks up is the number Four (4). Seven clicks up is the number 5. and then if you spin the elevation knob a full rotation, the last numbers are "6/3." It says "6/3" just before the "Z." If anybody has any idea how these adjustments work, seeing as I can't find them anywhere, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

IIRC those are yardages based off of a 25 yard "combat" zero. Meaning from 0-300 yards you can hit a torso using the Z, at 400 yards you switch to the 4, and so on.

.223 doesn't have a ton of drop before 300 yards, so that is why the zero gets you up to that point, it isn't meant to be exact, it's meant to be "minute of bad guy".

To zero the elevation you move the front sight.
