Serial # ACP36** - another set of numbers on the crane 51X**

What's my born on date ? Anything special about this revolver ? And what's the crane numbers' significance ?

I assume the serial number you gave is on the butt?

The numbers in the crane are assembly numbers used as a tracking aid to keep all the parts of that specific gun together while it was on the assembly line. They have no real significance now.

On the butt as well as on the frame in front of the cylinder well (where the crane & ejector rod nestle)

The Model 67 is a Stainless .38 Special with adjustable sights and it's sister is the Blue Model 15. It's the adjustable sight counterpart of the Stainless fixed sight Model 64. The Model 67-1 was first released in 1977. It ran until 1987 because the M67-2 was released in 1988. If you have a pinned barrel it was made before 1982. Sorry to say although you have a great .38 Special revolver it's nothing special by collector's standards.

boalex207 - The M67 is the .38 Combat Masterpiece Stainless version of the M15. It's a K frame square butt 3 screw target. The 67-1 was manufactured from 1977 - 1988 with your SN dating between Jan - Oct 1983. These are still in production as the M67-6. Original grips were Walnut Magnas w/medallions. SCSW 3rd lists value range $235.00 good to $400.00 ANIB.
