There is a bill in Illinois which would let the authorities take your FOID and confiscate your firearms if someone claims that you are dangerous to others, unbalanced, or for other nebulous reasons. This can be done anonymously.
If passed and signed, would this not flagrantly violate Articles IV, V, and VI as well as II?
If this belongs in activism, please move....I just don't know how to work on this other than calling and writing which I seem to be doing about every day.

Need to post a reference to the bill or this will likely get shut down.

There are a lot of "laws" being passed now a days that are a flat out violation of many of our founding documents, doesn't stop them though and will require time and effort by an opposing party to get them struck down. Ridiculous isn't it?

We really can't discuss a law or proposed law intelligently without the actual text. The OP can start a new thread when he can link to the actual text.

Whether or not a law is in "violation of many of our founding documents" is not up to you. That's up to the courts.
