That's great. It's refreshing to see positive stories about guns, especially involving teens.

So, what kind of pistol did you get for your birthday?

What I like here is that you can come and rent different weapons. People can try out a Glock or a revolver or an AK-15 and decide what they like.

Man I gotta try one of them there AK-15's!! :neener:

AK-15 - Yeah, I saw that too. I guess the lady who was quoted spends all her time shooting handguns and not enough time shooting longguns, so she's basically ignorant of the differences between types. Kind of like those folks who think the anti-gun folks wouldn't come after their hunting rifle or skeet gun, so they don't care about legislation affecting handguns or so-called assault weapons.

Good job! Way to live free or die in NH!

Also, it is at least 50/50 odds that the reporter screwed up the "AK-15" quote, rather than the person being quoted. If you've ever been interviewed and "quoted," you'll understand.

Yes, the reporters messed up the fact that my mom wanted a bigger caliber handgun than the 9mm, and went for the .40. It was me who wanted the .40 to compare to the 9mm, and she didnt like the recoil at all.

But anyways, I got a Walther P22 for my birthday. It's a fun gun to shoot, and thats what I wanted in my first handgun.

I hear that place is a great place to shoot. And seeing as I just got my NH non Rez permit yesterday I might have to make the trip up there.

Oh, um tell us more about your mom:p

Nice job dude, I'm 22 and I still wouldn't want to tell my mother I have guns other than my grandpa's collection, none the less CARRY one...

So, is your Mom's name "Pam" or "Pan"?

"Ryan Beauchamp, 16, shows his mother, Pam Ganem, of Exeter..."

"Pan Ganem fires a 9 mm handgun."

:p

Hey Boo-

I'm in Concord. If you ever want to go and meet up, just send me a PM. Actually- anyone wants to go, send a PM, or put it in as a meeting.

I belong to Pioneer Sportsman, so we can try out doors, or can meet at any of the "Firing Lines".

Although I have been shooting my whole life, the first gun that I bought, and was truely "MINE" was a P22. Can't go wrong, IMO.

I have a few more now, and am willing to share, especially to show new people.

Let me know.

M

I was very glad to see the photograph. In fact that puchased that paper yesterday because of the photograph. I normally only purchase the Sunday edition and check the weekday on line.

Good you see you shooting and getting your mom involved. I sometimes shoot IDPA at pioneer sportsman. Great club. Hope to see you there.

That's great!! :D :D Maybe she'll help finance your shooting hobby now.
"Mom...wanna go halves on a case of nines?"

Outstanding, young man!
You need to forward the link to the MMMs and show 'um what a 'real mom' is like!

I was going to warn you about the hazards of postings pictures of a female loved one on a predominantly male, heavy testosterone board. Too late:D
