Those are all semi-auto I take it, since it's California?

Go to Arizona for the real deal. :)

    Sig,
    Yes, semi auto's.

While full auto's are fun, I prefer not to travel out of Kali to shoot. You'd be surprised at how good people can bump fire. Plus, where I go I can shoot out to 2000+ yards. The last time out I finally got a confirmed hit on the 1 mile target, I've shot out that far before but the target had holes in it already. This time we had a fresh target and I had a spotter catch the hit. Next time I'll be going for the 2000 yard target that we have set up.

The good thing also is that I can drive my car there in 90 minutes, not 6+ hours to AZ. Or I can shoot 1000 yards locally in 15 minutes at the Desert Marksman Range, BTW tomorrow the 1000 yard line is open 10-30-05.

That's nice and all, but it can't compare to that Arizona spot. Especially when you can see the tracers arcing out at night.

Semi-auto, whatever the tricks employed, will never be the same as full auto. You sure as heck can't track a moving target as well.

Oh yeah, they shoot some "big bores" there too.
