Some GB sellers - I just don't understand their attitude

As a buyer on GB I feel there are certain things that you have faith in to bid. Not everyone is out to get you, just pay attention. I once won a nice 243 with glass that went for well under value because the seller was new with no feedback. I emailed them and found someone trying to pay bills after her husband had died unexpectedly. I did bump my bid up some. Checked a year later and my auction/feedback was their only one.

I got a real nice Action Arms Galil the same way. It went through one cycle with out a bid. The second time around they dropped the opening bid down. I waited till the last day and put in the opening price and got it. Turned out the lady's ex husband had passed and she was cleaning out his stuff. I had several guys on another page tell me it was a scam due to the NR on the users account. Worked out ok for me. Got the gun some mags, sling and a scope mount for a reasonable price.

Every buyer and every seller starts out with an NR rating. That's how the system works. Nobody gets a special break. My first purchase as a NR buyer was from an NR seller. And a PayPal payment to boot. Both of us took a risk. Both of us assumed the other party's word was good. Worked out good for both of us, and we gave each other their first A+ rating. That's how the game is played. And it works pretty darn good pretty nearly all of the time.

Agreed. I have never had a issue with a NR buyer or Seller. I just thought it was a bit funny how I had several guys tell me I was going to be ripped off due to it. Now I have had a couple of issues with guys that had low rating or Negative feed back. But then even a couple with Negative feedback worked out ok.

I always take into account the details of the negative feedback, along with how much. Even without a lot of negative feedback, if it's all the same complaint, that indicates a possible problem. If it's some random complaints all of a different nature, that's not a likely a problem.

NR's are always a risk, but everyone starts like that so SOMEONE has to take that risk at some point. So far, I haven't had any problems. (ebay, I haven't used GB for anything but browsing)
