Something new from Springfield Armory

It makes you wonder how the competition can justify a $539 MSRP on their striker fired polymer pistols.
Theirs dont have Springfield Armory stamped on them. ;) :)

I see a lot of new-looking, used XD's, go through my local shop all the time. He just got 6 or 7 of them in last week.

If they are selling these new for $325, Im betting there will be some good deals on them here in 6 months or so. :)

I have like SA XDs from the beginning. Remember when the XD came in the big plastic case with the XD GEAR?
Thant gun never failed. I shot the snot out of it, thousands of rounds. Built like a tank! XD compact and then with a extra high capacity mag.
They had a torture test better than Glocks tests I don't know if it is still online:)

I'm still a bit cheesed off with Springfield since when they started to bring in the HS2000 (XD by their name) they bumped the price up $200 or so. They could have had a lot of the market share back then but instead priced their Croatian import at around the price of a Glock then.

So, maybe, they are trying to get back to a better price point now? Not sure, but I appreciate it.

Heck, I remember when Jim Scoutten first promoted the XD.

My thoughts as well.
I was recently researching an optic-cut 9mm, and leaning towards another Glock or trying out the M&P.
But at this price point, and even though only 1 magazine, how can you lose?

Awesome! I've always liked the XD series and have several of them. The XD9 Mod2 has always been my favorite. I got two more XD9's when they were cheap at CDNN and put an optics ready slide on one of them. Those slides would not fit the Mod2. Looks like the Mod3 combines my favorite features with an optics ready slide. If it only had suppressor sights and a threaded barrel, it'd be perfect.

Interesting if for no other reason than the price:

Saw that.

Minor tweaks to the ergonomics. Memory bump on the grip(e) safety. "Grip Zone" verbiage continues to be long gone. Optics ready. The currently trendy flat face trigger. Comes with a single magazine. MSRP where all "the Innernet" says it should be. Still comes with lifetime warranty.

Only in 9mm service size right now.

This is what they always should have been priced. When SA renamed them and jacked the price up, they lost me and never got me back. I'm sorry, but the XD should have always been priced with the SARs, Girsans, Caniks, ect. All the Glock clones on the market now have to be hurting them pretty badly.
