Lookee: ( although the title lends you to believe that this is a porn/nasty link - It just has foul language and gangsta (?) shooting )

People like that are the reason I don't go to public ranges anymore. I've seen one too many people do something really stupid and I've had one too many people walk up and start handling my guns.

I swore off public ranges many years ago...but seriously, who hasn't done the two-pistols thing?

You don't know what you're missing. All those people who buy two of the same gun, one for 'spare parts'...yeah, right :)

heh - did the two guns thing - must require some kind of training or something cause i think i hit once out of 17 rounds. Bah - i'll stick w/ one gun/two hands.

Don't know much about public ranges - living in the country I've only been to two. Once w/ my best friends family. (I shot better... beer afterwards was paid for! <Grin>) and once for my CHL - only the class was there at that time of night.

Other than that - its shooting on our land.... w/ the 75 acres we have there is a perfect earthen backstop in the back of our middle pasture. =)

on the other hand, while digging around in their dex I found a cool muzzle flash pic.

Upon some though, I think the only thing in those videos worthy of real criticism is the unsafe handling of the malfunction.

Shooting sideways - I've tried it, as have a bunch of people I know. Why not? Nothing unsafe about it.

Shooting two pistols at once - who hasn't tried it? Nothing unsafe about that either, and it can be pretty fun. Heck, look at Gunfighter-class CAS shooters - some of them are very impressive shooting two guns at once.

Blasting a target at point-blank range - again, what's unsafe about that? It's a paper targer, not anything solid. It makes a huge hole in the paper - which is cool the first few times. A friend of mine (dormitory counselor, specifically) used a shotgun at very close range to blow the entire middle out of a silhouette, and then hung it in his room. No harm done.

The guys aren't apparently concerned with accuracy, but so what? They aren't hitting the ceiling, floor, walls, each other, or target hangers...

Their overall demeanor in the videos made me wonder what type of antics happen when video ISN'T rolling ( or what they did tape that hasn't made it to the site ).

Having gone shooting with lots of college-age people (and being one myself), I suspect that there are more "antics" on tape than off. The camera is an audience to play for, encouraging goofiness if anything.

In their videos everytime they shoot to slide lock and go to eject or insert a new magazine the muzzle of their pistol(s) is turned to their immediate right or left. Granted there is probably no other shooters in the adjacent lanes. But tell me how hard is it for people to learn how to eject a old magazine and insert a new magazine with their muzzle still pointing downrange? I see this in a lot of shooters, young and old all the time at the range.
