Of COURSE this would happen. Just an hour ago, my receiver for my Franken500 build shows up to my FFL holder, it looks good no significant wear, I'm pleased. 2 Minutes ago, I get brought a bag of receivers to put up for sale on Gunbroker.com - 2 870 Express Magnums, Some 500s in 12 and 20ga and one nice 500 20ga in mossy oak camo.

I swear someone up there has a sick sense of humor :fire:

is'n that always the way

When I was in College, my car broke down. The mechanic said that my transmission was shot and it was going to be about $1200 to replace it. After begging everyone that I knew for money, I was still short, so I had to sell my beloved model 70 to raise the funds. Two days after handing the mechanic $1200, he called and said that my transmission was fine, it was some stupid little part that cost fifty bucks. I ran back to the gun store, but my rifle was already gone. I learned a few things that day, but the most important was always keep enough cash on hand to handle those little curve ball that life throws your way, and always get a second opinion.

Pick out the best of the batch and carry on...

...and sell the rest on Gunbroker. All it means is that your options are more numerous. Have fun!
