Source for Round Balls

Does somebody know a commercial round ball caster around 100 miles of Las Vegas?

Paying $ 6.50 and 8.50/100 for .36 resp. .44 balls is just

I can get .45 230 gr roundnose, sized and lubricated for $ 4.90/100, a very much more complicated shape than a sphere.

I know, I could cast myself, but getting a reliable source for lead means buying ingots, and that is $ 1.50 a pound. I want to shoot, not to hunt for lead or spending days casting.

Your help would be very appreciated

Sorry Rob, but I roll my own. Check out your local roofers and you may be able to get roof lead scraps or refuse from them. That is excellant quality lead and better than plumber's lead.

it looks like I don't have any other choice than to run ball myself. The roofers are a lead source I didn't think of. I was looking for scrap wheel-weights, but all the companies I contacted sell it to a scrap-metal dealer out of state, so I would be as wet as before (have the lead shipped for a lot of money).

Voilá, when the weather here gets cooler, I'll start that thing!

Go to a gun show and look for people that have lead bullets for sale.....these guys can probably make the lead balls for you if they don't already have some made up for a decent price...........
