Sp101 3" .327 Front Sight

Just recently acquired a Ruger Sp101 3" .327 Fed Mag. Sweet little gun. love the size and capacity, but have been trying to locate a proper height front sight for the gun. The black front is more than usable, but I hope to install a hiviz option, either bead, fiber optic, or even a night sight. Just looking for a more visible option. If no such thing exists, then I'll have to stick with painting the front sight, but would like a more permanent option. Anyone know of a manufacturer that turns out a high enough front sight?

When my wife to a liking to mine, I put a Meprolight on it. Took about 10 minutes. It's now her night stand gun. "Ours" is a .357, but regardless of caliber they are great little guns. I may get myself one...

Painting the rear sight channel also helps add some contrast.

Wish it was that easy, but unfortunately the .327 model uses a higher front sight than any of the rest. Almost all the .357 sights I've found say they wont work with the .327, hence my predicament.

I bought this sight for my wife's Lady Smith, Model 60. It also fits the SP101.

The sight base comes with no pin hole. So if you could find out the height difference between the 327 and 357, you may be able to shim it up before drilling the pin hole.

I'd measure the current front sight, and then call XS and see if they have anything close.
