Many people I talk to at the range seem to think that a "close enough" shot with a .45 ACP is better than 2 or 3 aimed shots with a 9mm, and I disagree. What I can't find is any information on the difference in split times for the 2 rounds in similar guns. For example, can you get 3 9mm rounds home in the same time you can get 2 .45 ACPs? I carry a Gov't sized 1911 in .45 ACP, but have thought about switching to a Glock 19 for lighter weight, increased capacity, and faster follow-up shots. Any experience with this?
