Sportsman’s Warehouse has the new M&P 2.0 10MM 4.6” pistol in stock

For those looking for the new offering from S&W, I received an in-stock email from Sportsman’s Warehouse that this pistol is now available for $599. From what i can see online, they don’t ship to FFL but can be picked up at one of their stores. Unfortunately for me, there’s not one in Ohio close enough for me to pick up.

Im excited about smith making an auto 10 again.

 

Looking to handle a 4”/no-safety M&P first.

 

I’m interested in the longer barrel model to see how it performs against my G20.

 

Chances are good it is the same as the 4", no safety, .45 Auto version, that have been around for several years.

 

It is the same as the .45s. Other than the trigger, optic cut. Oh, and the 10s have the extended slide release levers.

 

Some early posts I read elsewhere said that .45acp10-rd M&P mags will hold 14-rds of 10mm and will fit and feed in the 10mm M&Ps without issues.

These were from posters who said they already owned a .45 M&P.

 

I wouldn't be surprised. Back during the 1994-2004 AWB there were a lot of 10 round 40 S&W magazines that would function with 14ish rounds of 9mm in them. I've seen it work with Glock, Smith, Beretta, and Ruger pistols where there was a comparable 9mm and 40 S&W pistol built on the same frame.

I have some 14 round magazines made for 45 ACP Smith M&P's That could be interesting if it works.

 

As I mentioned, I have my eye on one and even put it in the cart, but the sales tax soured* the deal. So I left it in the cart but now Sportsman's had my email address, so they sent me a 10% coupon code- but the code doesn't work on firearms.

In the meantime the longer slide version has sold out.

I am not a fan of the M&P triggers. But I might handle one if it means getting me into 10mm without getting a Glock or (another) 1911.

 

Too bad they don’t have a store in Arkansas.

 

Checked this out at the Outdoor Show in Harrisburg. Is S&W allergic to an audible/tactile trigger reset? That alone took it off my list.
