Springfield Armory XD 45

Has anyone had experience with the subject handgun? I am looking for a high capacity .45 ACP sidearm to accompany a 1927A1 Thompson. I have no experience with the polymer frames.

I have one and like it for just that, high capacity 13+1 rds. I've had no problems with it so far, works every time I pull the trigger. I have to say though that if ever I wanted a pistol to go along with my Tommy gun, it would be a 1911 style pistol, as they seem like they go together. Just my opinion, LM.

Thanks LightningMan. May go with a 1911. I was kinda intrigued with the XD. They do make a pair though.
