SA has been teasing it for a while. After statements back in the spring about a 10mm XDm, they released their 10mm.... in another 1911.

The TRP will have a 5" or 6" barrel.

Sorry, but another SA firearm that's late to the game. Politics aside, I'm sure it will be nice. Probably be very nice with a side of excellent. But expensive (look at that MSRP).

I was hoping for another plastic high cap striker 10mm on the market. Oh well, a guy can dream...

On the one hand, people who like 10mm's in single-stack 1911 formats already have a lot of choices. OTOH, it is one more choice.

As a 10mm fan, I get more excited by new entries in platforms beyond the 1911. Not that I don't like 1911's, it's just that there's already some range of options for people who want a single-stack 10mm.

I can buy 3 more of my RIA Tac II 10mm’s for less than the price of one Springfield. And they are heavy barrel, ambi safety, fully supported chamber, and low profile sights. I’ve put almost 1000 rounds through my RIA and nary a hiccup. For THAT price, and their patriotism, Springfield can keep theirs.

My RIA Tac 10mm is great as well. For that MSRP you are almost in DW Bruin territory, which would be a far superior gun and made by a company that hasn't peed all over the second amendment recently.

No thanks.

Terrific. I like both SA and the 10MM so win win. I won't be buying one as I already have a DW stainless PM7 - 10MM. I don't see the SA being a better gun but a more comparable gun. If it came in stainless I might consider the addition to the heard.
