I just got this Springfield via a trade with a buddy of mine, I have learned that the parts were made by Tanfoglio of Italy, and then assembled here by Springfield.

It's a .40 S&W, with a 4.75" ported barrel...all parts seem to be nicely finished. I haven't even fired it yet, just want to show it off and see if anyone still uses this model or knows more info on it.

Slightly different version than my P9 Ultra IPSC. Mine is the long slide ported but yours looks like a normal barrel length ported. Note the different trigger guard on mine and also yours is stainless.

Great guns. I have shot mine a TON! Be careful of the rear sight. I have yet to see a replacement ever.

I measured the barrel wrong, it's actually 5". Took it to the range for the first time this morning and really had a blast shooting it. Great trigger, very little recoil...life is good!

That is what I would have guessed. If you compare your barrel and slide to mine you should see yours is shorter which makes it a normal pistol instead of an LSP. I believe that is why the trigger guard is different also but that is a supposition.
