Been experimenting with different loads all day for 60 gr VMAX .223. Started with IMR 4198 and was vertically stringing groups, varget did the same with either one producing better than inch and half groups at 100. My grandpa gave me some IMR 4895 and immediate success with 24.9 gr. at .5MOA groups for the rest of the day. I am still in experimentation mode trying different bullets powders etc. If this the best accuracy I can expect out of this gun??? Cause I want to load a passle up one I find the perfect load. If you have have any idea on other powders to try(or bullets) I am open for suggestions, Thanks

That was the best I ever shot that rifle so it might be the winner after 1000 rounds lol

The IMR4895 is a much better powder for the 60gr bullet and I have had very good success with H4895 and Benchmark with 60gr. Nosler btips. The .5 moa groups is very good accuracy with your carbine.

4895 has been around for a long time. Now we understand why! Not to mention, it has has a variety of applications.

The best group I've ever shot was out of my 16" rifle, using 4895. I'd stick with your load for that rifle, it seems to be working for you.

Best theoretical accuracy? That's easy, 1 hole at 100 yds with no wind or thermals or temperature gradients to deal with.
