Stag Model 1 or Model 2...need some advise

I am getting ready to buy my first AR. I know I am going to go with Stag but the quesion is whether to go with Model 1 or Model 2. Of course the difference is removable carry handle vs. rear flip up sights. It will probably be awhile before I add any optics...if ever. Is the Model 1 a better choice given this or do you think that the flip-ups will be sufficient as primary sights? Your help is appreciated. Cost is virtually the same.

6 vs. half a dozen

Personally, i think the flip-up aspect allows for room for error; and a carry handle can be handy...har har.

It boils down to what else you might put on there later, and how you want it to look and feel.

Get the carry handle model and then buy a set of rear flip up irons. GG&G and Midwest Industries both make nice ones.

That way you'll have it both ways.
