13" double edged blade, I hope Stephan will chime in with the metalurgy ect. This took a little over a year (He had a new baby during the process) and it is his most ambitious work thus far. I gave him artistic freedom on this after I approved the blade shape and hamon , which are outstanding. He did listen to me about what Kevin McClung advised about not getting wrapped around the symetrical double edged dagger handle routine. This has Stephan's ergonomic handle design!:)

That's why Stephen is considered one of the up and coming makers who will be considered one of the greats someday.

This knife has taken me WAY too long to finish, seems like everything that could go wrong did (this is the THIRD handle on this bad boy)

that being said, I'm really happy with the end result.

Look how far Stephan has come in a couple years! The grind lines more elegant, no pins in the handle (halleluia!),damascus wrought fittings ect. I think I'll use this utilitarian bowie a bit now I have his latest beauty.

I know that feeling. I only handle fallkniven blade blanks and already have 3 blind tang candidates. Learning by experience is a real #%W$#$, sometimes.
