Stevens 200 Rifle Production - Quiting?

Guy at LGS said today that he heard the Stevens 200 rifle production was stopping and the Stevens was not going to be made anymore. Said the Axis line was "replacing" the Stevens line. I have held the Axis, and prefer the Stevens.

Reckon there is any truth to it?

People have been saying that ever since the Axis/Edge came out, but Savage is still selling the Stevens 200. I'm sure they will keep making them as long as people keep buying them.
