I've heard good things about Steyr but never can find them anywhere

Where can you find them?

And whats the going rate for the various 9mm models?

Does Steyr have a website?

Thanks

Which model are you talking about?

M-series?

They're getting a little hard to find right now. Steyr hasn't imported any for more than a year. They've promised, according to members at www.steyrclub.com, to begin importing as soon as existing stocks are depleted. Word was that Steyr thought they were going to lose their import license when their rifles supposedly wound up in Iraqi insurgents hands. So they dumped the their inventory on two distributors: CDNN and Davidson's. Another version is that updates in the design and finish were made and they wanted to get those guns out of the pipeline, so they dumped them on CDNN and Davidson's. I don't know which is correct. Davidson's is out of Steyrs. CDNN still has remaining inventory. You'll have to call to get one, but the last print catalog I got (last week) priced them at $350. Have a transfer dealer lined up when you call and you can charge the gun on your credit card. You can look at the catalog (without the prices) by going to www.cdnninvestments.com and clicking on "download current catalog." Their policy is no firearms transactions will be done online, so don't bother asking. These guns are new. They were coming with 2 mags, but make sure before you buy.

BTW, I have 3: S9, M9, and M9-A1. That last is the latest design imported. They're exceptional guns.

What Southpaw said - and I would heartily recommend getting one from CDNN while you can at this price. I own two Steyrs, a S9 and an M357 - both excellent guns, easily half the price they should be on the market. They're just not well known.

Cheers!
