Looking into buying a good rifle for mid-range target shooting. I am interested in a Steyr SSG 04, but can find only a limited amount of information. Does anyone have any practical experience with Steyr? Any thoughts welcome.

I have owned two Steyr rifles. The first was a Steyr Scout, which was a good rifle that I regret selling. The second was a Steyr SSG PII, which I recently traded off. The SSG 69 was delicate, and had to have magazines replaced, one stock, and a trigger guard too. Steyr customer service is OK, but their warranty sucks.

I would avoid them in the future.
