    Greeting's All-

With all due respect to the owner's, administrator's,
moderator's, and support personel of all forums,
I would like to conduct a survey to see what is the
most popular FireArms Forum currently in use by the
vast majority of web viewers. This survey IS NOT
based on any type of disrespect to anyone or any
other forum; just that inquiring minds would like to
see how all forums stack up? There is NO need
to voice a response; please just cast YOUR vote, and
at the end of 10 days we will stop taking votes; and
determine the order of priority. So, sit back with a
cup of hot coffee, a glass of ice cold tea, or a cold
beer and give us YOUR vote! The names of the
nominees were written on a strip of paper and
placed in a hat; then drawn by a 3rd party who
    is not a member of any FireArms Forums;
so that is the order in which they will be presented.

Disclaimer: There are probably some FireArms Forums
that I don't even know about; other's I may have
forgotten about, so to be fair I will list a "Other"
selection. If you vote for "Other", I encourage you
to tell us which one it is; so we can all take a peek!

Well being this is the only firearms forum I frequent, my vote should be obvious.

    Ala Dan,

Perhaps you could list the web addresses of some of the forums on your poll; I haven't even heard of several of them.

It would seem to me that posting this on THR would make the results a bit biased. Is it being posted on the other forums too? (Voted THR ;) )

    Hello Dan,

I often enjoy reading your posts, and this is an interesting survey. I learned about this good forum when TFL closed down, and I'm here as often as I can be, but I voted "other".

Now Hi Powers are my preference in autoloaders, and a LOT of good Hi Power info is over on Hunter's Forum (FnHipower.com). For revolvers, S&W's, preferably blued, are what I like, and the S&W forum has lots of good info there.

For specific CA gun info, calguns.net often has answers.

I don't know why there isn't a forum specific to the P220, there certainly should be one..... ;)

Greeting's hksw- No sir, I did not post a poll on
the other FireArms Forums; but I'm in the process of
getting the meassage out, on as many forums as
possible. Simply stated, it encourages all member's
of other forums to drop by and cast THEIR vote!

    Respectfully,
    Ala Dan, N.R.A. Life Member

    Well...

I've been hanging around the old "sixgunner" board longer than any of them. I like this one for more modern topics, and then there are days when the internet BS level gets so high that I don't like any of them.

Those are good days to just ignore the idjitnet alltogether and just do something else. I'd like to think that if somebody's gonna get me all riled up, they should at least have to inconvenience themselves by doing it in person.

Broad spectrum but has knowledgable specialists on board.

I also visit HKPro, GlockTalk, 1911forum, Ammolab, Shooters and Ktog... but post either sparingly, or none at all.

    THR is my home. :D

    There's others?

Actually the only other forum I visit with any regularity is HKPro which is not on your list. No matter, I go there once or twice a week. Browse here a couple times a day. Found THR by way of shotgunworld  .

I have no doubt many of the other forums (fora?? :) ) are excellent ....... but for me .... time is the big deal. No way can I go cruising thru a multitude of forums.

The end result of that is, I stay where I am best satisfied - THR - where interest is diverse, knowledge is a'plenty .... and overall there is an air of courtesy and cameraderie. Suits me just fine, like many I guess ....... so you could also say ..... ''no need to look elsewhere''.

    I salute THR. :)

I voted for www.sigforum.com. I know it seems kind of traitorous to say that here :uhoh: . This forum seems great, but I don't spend as much time here as I do on SIG forum simply because it was the first gun forum I ever joined. I do find myself spending more time here lately, this is one hell of a forum :D . Give SIG forum a try too, the people there are great. Very few trolls and they're dealt with quickly  and the flame wars are kept to a bare minimum.

I spend a lot of time at SIGforum.
    Too much time.
But the forumites are good, and most folks cross over onto other forums anyway. Plus I loooove my SIGs. And SF has good karma. :)

I used to call TFL home, but during the short orphanage, I got embraced into the SIGfold.

I love this place though. Don't know what I'd do without my daily visit here.

Sixgunner.com was the first firearm website that I started on (really, it was WyattEarp.com, but it moved). It's always going to be my first, my faithful, and my favorite.

However, THR is a VERY close second...

Here 'cuz it's not platform specific.
Sig forum is really the only other forum I frequent.
