stock for an M1 Garand?

I was wondering can you get a synthetic stock for an M1? I love mine but it has a perfect stock from my grandfathers war days would like to perserve that stock. So am I stuck with buying another wood stock or can I get a lighter synthetic stock for packing it and shooting it?

Spare stocks are common as dirt and fairly cheap ($40 for the butt), synthetic stocks are kinda pricey (~$110 for the last complete set I saw) and available too.

Any idea where to at least look at the synthetic?
