Here's an open invitation to THR members:

If you happen to be in my neck of the woods, for business, pleasure, whatever, let's try to get together and say "Hi" in person. If you're going to be in Cincinnati, send me a PM and we'll se if we can meet up. If the schedule won't work, I'll be honest and tell you so.

I feel like I know many of you from my addiction to this board. :D I see locations all over the country and the world, some of which I've been to, some not yet. I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or threaten your anonymity. I travel occasionally on business and usually have to eat alone and spend the evening in front of the tube. I think it would be great to meet people who share a common interest - other members of the gun culture. Networking is a good thing - even for those whose general philosophy in life is that they just want to be left alone.

Want to shoot? Sure! Want to shoot the breeze? Fine! I don't want to invade anyone's family time and I won't let you invade mine. But I'd be happy to spare you 10 minute, lunch, dinner, whatever. Who knows, maybe it will turn into the "Skunkabilly North American Tour 2003." (I get the T-shirt vending rights!)

What do you think? Mods, if you think this would threaten THR in any way, kill this thread immediately. Anybody else willing to make an open invitation?

    Great idea!

If anyone is planning to travel through Albuquerque or Santa Fe, let's have lunch! Or, if it's Saturday, let's visit the range.

    Thanks for the invite.

Family, and work seem to prohibit much free time, but of anyone is in the area, S/E Kansas, drop a dime, and I'll make time to get together, or even sneak out to the range.

Always looking for an excuse to get there, like I need one!

Sounds good. I know that I have to cross over the river a few times a month. One of these times we'll have to get together.

You betcha! I don't get that far east hardly ever (OK, I don't go anywhere hardly ever). But I have a quiet little acreage with a berm and 4 pepper poppers in the back yard, so here's an open invitation to Southeastern Colorado.

Bring your 1911! After shooting we can have lunch or dinner and a couple beers on the front porch or deck (I don't have close neighbors). Steve, that includes you, you're only about an hour away. :D

Larry, I was just in your backyard on Sat/Sunday. Went down and shot the NM Regional Championships in Raton.

Erich, oh, I see, we can use the range in Nueve Meheco, but not here. What's wrong with my ranges? Our range doesn't have enough bears for ya?:D
