so today I picked up a remington 511p scoremaster .22 single shot xrr so dec 1946 it has no taps for a rear sights like other peeps but it also doesn't have taps or even a spot for the peep on the rear of the receiver. The next thing that stands out is the tip of the barrel screws off. front sights are strange too. I'll post some pics in a bit, thanks for any info

The 511 was not a single shot. It should have a five shot magazine.
Your pictures are way too big for the little screen I'm using.
I am not sure what you really have.

It looks like it was threaded for a suppressor.

Interesting. It looks like my 510. I agree that it must have been threaded for a suppressor.

I'm guessing it's a mixmaster of some type. The 510 was the single shot version, the 511 had a box magazine, but they use the same receiver. I've never heard of a threaded barrel, so I'd think that's probably after-market. If you check RimFireCentral in the Remington forum, you might get an opinion from John Gyde. He wrote the book on Rem .22's. Literally.

Those are the worst photos I've ever seen on a gun forum.
