Hi guys.
I bought an old Bianchi Break-Front, but the hammer strap has become worn (leather is stretched and the snap is loose).

Does anyone know of a holster maker or leathersmith that can recondition or re-create the hammer strap?

BTW - if anyone has some info - how come some of them came with a hammer strap, while others came with a strap that just went around the front of the gun and not over the hammer?

Thanks

In Phoenix, I'd give "The Leatherman" a call; it's a boot and shoe repair shop up on Cave Creek Rd., just south of Greenway. Trouble is, I haven't done business with them in years and they may no longer be in business. Any good saddlery or shoe repair outfit should be able to this, though. Have you contacted Bianchi?

This is a great opportunity to drop by Tandy leather and either see if somebody there has a business card posted on the corkboard, or ask what it would take for you to do the job yourself. There are three locations, and....... they give lessons!

Thanks for the suggestions guys - I'll take a look around.

I emailed Bianchi a few years back about getting a new Model 27 by custom order and they just gave me a generic "we dont make them anymore" line. So, that idea is out.
