Stupid question of the week: has anyone made a C/B revolver that used shotgun primers

I know that there is a whole bunch of rifles that shoot with shotgun primers, but I don't know about revolvers. I actually briefly thought of building a cylinder for my Remington New Model Army that would use shotty primers, the idea being I could use magnum primers and no powder to shoot indoors. Of course I never really got around to it, but it would have been cool.

I have never heard of one, and am not sure it would work. The hole in the cylinder for the primer would have to be quite large and the pressure would blow back the primer and the hammer unless the revolver was designed with a recoil shield like that of a cartridge revolver.

There are ML rifles that use shotgun primers, though. Or find a shotshell reloader and sell the primers to him.

I actually priced the two British offerings....the price was catastrophic and there were legal problems with exporting them.
