I like the sub2k as a pistol caliber carbine and have been wanting my own for awhile. I just recently bought a Beretta PX4 in 9mm and tonight the thought struck me; can the mags work? You can buy this adapter for the CX4 carbine that take the 92 magazines:

So, perhaps with a little finagling, this adapter might work for the sub2k that takes the 92 mags as well. Anyone out there have any experience with exactly how the CX4 adapters work that can shed some light if this is a possibility?

I shot one before and it fed same caliber glock mags with no problem. Not sure about Beretta. Also, Kel Tec offers a metal piece that clamps on the ejection port for that gun....I recommend getting it because a friend of mine had many shell casings stick into the polymer ejection port during ejection. Write Keltec and ask them about this piece if YOU ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

Keltec lists a 92 mag compatible version on it's website.

"The 9mm SUB-2000 can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK17, GLK19, S&W59, BERETTA92, SIG226."

I have seriously considered it as i have the 92FS. But i understand that this is only available on a limited basis and must be ordered at least 12 months in advance.

I have one of the SUB2000s with the G19 frame, because I carry a G19 as my PP carry piece. I readily admit that I did not expect to like the carbine. I thought it was a cheap, ugly piece of crap that I only bought because it took the same mags as my pistol and it was really cheap (I paid $217). I was wrong. It shoots 4" groups at 50 yards all day with Federal ball from Walmart. It feeds everything I've thrown at it and LOVES the 1400FPS XTP handloads (+P, Vit N330 under a 115gr XTP) I build and carry in the G19. The sights are terrible, but functional. I'm going to put an AK siderail mount on the right side of the foregrip so that I can mount a red-dot on a quick release and then LOOK OUT!!! It's fun to shoot. The chicks dig it. The kids love to shoot it. And it folds to 16" by about 6" and goes in a briefcase or laptop case with a couple of 33rnd magazines for those rough business meetings. It's STILL an ugly brick of a gun which bids fair to make the Hi Point 995 look pretty, but it TOTALLY rocks!
