Celebrated independence day in style today. John C Garand match at Eua Claire National Rifle Club in WI. Took second with a rifle I haven't fired very much. Had a rough 100 yard zero, and had to dial it in with sighters to 200 yards with M2 ball, was still tweaking it in the first few for record, so I dropped a few points off the bat. Lucky for me, the remainder of the match was rained out, so only SF prone counted for record, as I had a few hiccups in the rest of the match, but I'll take it.

I call foul!
Come on down to Talladega.
We shoot from under a covered firing point, and electronic targets. Only lightning strikes delay a match. Only the “Awful Hand” really counts...
But it’s the “devils armpit” in the summer and the doesn’t wind doesn’t blow!

Nice shooting!! So if I understand correctly you guys shot the entire course but only counted slow prone? We shoot in the rain quite often (Oregon), if a stage was fired it counted for everyone. Not diminishing your trophy in the least, just interested. I'd much rather shoot in the pouring rain than in 90+ degree heat; putting on an already sweaty sweatshirt and shooting coat for those last couple relays is brutal.

It was the lightning and severe thunderstorm gust front that called the match. Slow prone was the only stage completed by all shooters.

I under the other hand cannot see in the Rain, as I wear glasses, hat or no hat.
Do not lie getting my Equipment Wet.
When it HOT Out, I bring an extra Sweatshirt and rotate them, Put a sweatband on the keep the sweat out of your Eyes.
15 minutes in a Sweatshirt and Coat is not that bad.

To the original poster, what was your Score Slow Prone, as I did not see it?
