Guys my eyes are getting weaker as I turn 40. Just for kicks I'm going to try out a Nikon pro staff 3-9 x 50 on my 10-22. I need to mount this scope pretty high (i think). Can you suggest a scope ring setup? I'd like to go detachable so I can throw an Aimpoint T-1 on it when not using the scope. What rings will work on a 1" tube and still hold zero without having to turn to MrLarue. He makes great quick disconnects but i need something a little more budget conscious.

Have seen some quick disconnect Warner that look nice as well as some UTGs and steel look mounts that bold directly to the receiver allowing the iron sits to still be used.

I'm pretty sure I'll need a set of high rings but might be able to get away with med height but doubt it. If going to swapmoutbthebweaver rail for a IOC rail so ill heave some flexibility. Right now I'm running a sweet 22 but without a eye ring focus... It's just not cutting it. I still have my ring setup for the M223 that I dont use on my AR and have even considered running it. I'm swapping the weaver rail for a pic rail to give me some flexibility. If you can suggest some rings, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

If your going to be swapping out optics and want to keep zero, I'd stick with something that is one piece (SPR mount) rather than two separate rings. I do this on my AR and it holds zero well. See picture

The AR mounts are a lot higher than what you need or want.

You have a scope on the rifle now. 40mm objective? A 50mm scope only needs to be about 0.2" higher. You might have that much room with your present rings. And the Picatinny rail you have planned might raise thing up.

Burris XTR QDs, medium, and Warne Maxima QDs, high, are about the same height and should be plenty high enough. If you get a thick Picatinny rail, lows might be high enough.
