Surplus 7.62x25 Ammo Preference

Which of these surplus 7.62x25 do you prefer?

I bought some bulgarian, but it had the supposed bad headstamp and about 25% of the necks were split out of the package. I decided between the split necks and the warnings about this particular flavor that it wasn't worth screwing with. I got some romanian instead, haven't tried it yet, but it looks better.

I have a few cans of the Romanian and it is really quite decent stuff.
My favorite 7.62X25 was the Chinese surplus.
Corrosive as battery acid, reliable, and acceptably accurate too.

The Romanian stuff is also corrosive so get your Windex out.

I've heard several people say that the Yugoslavian 7.62x25 has "hard" primers, and the CZ52 doesn't like it that much. That's been my experience as well, but my TT-33 eats it like candy and groups just as well as Romanian. Also, the Yugo is copper and lead, and will pass muster at ranges that don't allow steel core/cased ammo.

I have to admit I find it somewhat bizzare that many states that allow legal concealed weapon carry also feature ranges that won't allow steel core, or won't allow full metal jacket bullets, or won't allow all lead bullets, or won't allow rapid fire drills, Geez!

At least the ranges in my part of this restricted state allow you to shoot the bullets you choose as fast as you want to!

I'm reviving this thread for additional opinions.

I just picked up a Polish Tokarev and I'm investigating what 7.62x25 to buy. I have a few boxes of Yugo surplus, but it's given me some misfires in my CZ-52. Has the Romy surplus been surefire or does it also misfire sometimes? It's so cheap that if it goes bang every time you pull the trigger I won't mind if it's corrosive.

I had some Bulgarian that put through my CZ-52. I experienced at least one mis-fire per magazine. I've managed to get my hands on some Russian stuff and that stuff has been great.

The Romanian that I have shot was pretty good as well.

Haven't had any issues with the Romanian stuff. Its been pretty good to me. Just be careful you don't get the high pressure Bulgy ammo.

I wound up ordering a spam can of Romy 7.62x25 from AIM Surplus, along with some more magazines.

My PPSh41 likes Romanian better than anything else, but my CZ52 does fine with any of those choices.

I did get a junky can of Bulgarian from J&G that has put me off of that nation's 7.62x25. I don't know if the seal of the spam-can was compromised or something like that, but the ammo was badly tarnished and the little paper things were totally disintegrated, leaving the can full of fine wood-pulp dust. The primers were hard as nails. My PPSh really pounds that firing pin in there, but I had about 25% of them fail to fire. I will not be buying any more.

I am pleased with the Romanian surplus. I haven't measured the loaded cartridges for consistency but they're all in good condition, nothing dented or damaged.

They shoot low in my cz-52 but I believe it's the gun. It shoots dead on with a 9mm conversion and 115gr ammo. It doesn't seem to be as corrosive as the Romanian 8mm surplus.
