Does anyone know how many of these were made or where to look to find this info? Thanks in advance for your help.

Call S&W customer service or email them...I'm sure they will reply. Just a thought.

They are still making them. Maybe you are wondering how many have been made so far?

Yes, they have been made for many years - be aware that there is the standard model for around $1k, and then the 38 Super model from the Professional Shop that costs much more...

The "real" ones are very accurate.

That's been my experience with all S&W 1911's.

I don't care for guns with all black sights - otherwise, I would have owned one of those already.
