I have a gen 2 glock 23 (40 cal) and a gen 3 glock 19 (9mm), I think the .40 cal would be a better nightstand gun and would like to swap the lower gen 3 from the 9mm glock 19 for the tactical rail.

Can I do this and if so should I simply take the uppers and switch them?

You will need to switch the trigger mechanism housing as well.

Also, make sure that the 9mm frame is a three pin.

you can push the ejector out of the trigger mech housing and switch them that way if you want (not that it matters lol).

like reaper said, make sure they're both 3pin models :)

The Gen. II is a two pin frame. You may want to call Glock and ask them. But they may give you the lawyer answer. In that case, you could try the armorer at Lone Wolf.

I know that I can swap slides between a 2gen G17 and a 3gen G17L with no problems. Not so sure about the .40 to a 9mm though.

    most gen2 g23's are 3 pin, and early gen3 g19's are 2 pin.
