T/C Benchmark?

Anyone familiar with the new Thompson/Center .22 lr autoloader with the short, heavy target barrel? I think it's on the market and I was wondering what the early word was.

There's a smattering of input on

the T/C forum at www.rimfirecentral.com Dick Metcalf has a glowing review(what else?) in the latest Shooting Times. Until I get one in my hands to shoulder, I won't know for sure. However, I think I want one.

I read the Shooting Times review too. Thought it sounded good. All except for the trigger which they said compared to a 10/22 and others in that price range. Like that is a good thing. 10/22 triggers are horrible out of the box. Still, the rifle appeals to me.

Yep, Shooting Times is where I read about it. I refuse to believe the hype too and I too think I want one. I did read a little on Rimfire Central last night. The CZ bolt .22 now has competition for the gun-after-next spot on my list. Not good for someone who pained between chocolate and vanilla (repeatedly) as a kid. :banghead: :banghead:
