Tar/scaling on 30 carbine brass: solution found.

But I found a solution. I bought a fresh batch of Lyman red walnut media with rouge. Tumbled all my scaled/tar/crud caked brass overnight and it looks new.

Older threads are auto locked by the system with the new software. One can always ask to have one opened back up if there is new pertinent information. Or do like you did, start a new thread and link to the old one.

Simple Green will also remove the tar in the case neck.
