Lake City brass, 24 gr of Varget, 69gr Speer MatchKing HPBT. 0.52" at 100 yards.

I really should take a better picture of the rifle now that I've got a nice dslr camera. CZ 527 Varmint Laminate 223. Now has a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x. A terrific shooter!

Largest groups are with 40 grain loads, smallest with 50 grain Noslers and Sierra Blitzkings. I like the 300 yard, 1.427" 5 shot group. I shot a 500 yard 4.5" 5 shot group the one time I tried it that far out. Longest range finder confirmed kill: 469 yards on a small ground squirrel on a windy afternoon in NE CA. A fantastic rifle!

Wow, thats a tough shot on a bushy tail, Most of my squirrels have been under 100 yards and mostly headshots, with an old Winchester Model 67 single shot.
I wonder how much fun that would be....

Here is my .223 SPS TAC with a 3-9 leupold on it and a couple groups at a lasered 300 yards. This rifle is totally stock except for a trigger adjustment. I got real lucky on this one. This rifle has always been exceptional in the accuracy dept. Always sub MOA with a good load. After about 1800 rounds through it I'd noticed this carbon buildup in the throat that wouldn't come out no matter what I did. I just ignored it for awhile (I know, I know) until the accuracy started dropping off. I finally couldn't take it anymore and got some JB paste and spent an hour or two scrubbing. It never did get totally perfect, but maybe 90%. Anyway, I load up two different loads using Berger 70 VLD and a couple powders and head to the desert. It was a rare TOTALLY windless day and I used a bench master rest to take out as much human error as possible.
WOW, I guess that made a difference! This was in late oct. of this year and since then I took a coyote at a lasered 475 yards and another at 124. I know, your saying "where's the five shot groups"? Hey, it a coyote rifle...that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
