Targets with Pictures

Another reason to leave MA. I am retired from there. We had to use targets shaped like a Milk bottle as black sil. targets taught us to shoot Uh?? what ever is pc Black persuasion people.

we used to shoot at playing cards. wonder if MA considers a jack, queen, or king a human target?

I have a few Ayatollah Khomeini targets around from the Iran hostage era. Course, back then I was only around 9 or 10 so they have .177 holes in them:D

The indoor range I shoot at occasionally has some silhouettes and one of a BG wearing a ski mask.

Politicos / Hollyweird folks would probably be taboo, though I have never asked.
At the outdoor range, I don't think anyone would care one way or the other. But then, at the outdoor range I usually shoot cans and milk jugs, so who knows.

Not allowed at my club
I belong to a club in Minnesota with a big range and ~ 500 members, and Osama targets and other human likenesses are NOT permitted. I'm not sure why, and apart ftom this eveybody seems pretty laid back, but no Osama targets.

You're going to the wrong range. Bill's North in Circle Pines, MN has plenty of targets and allows whatever you want to bring or buy (Paper or cardboard). Which range do you go to?? I quit going to the Del-Tone/ Luth Range in St Cloud because they started treating me like a piece of dog dung. Not knowing where in Mn you are, I can't make any informed suggestions. Also, you might want to peruse our local board, mainly for those that carry, but there is other good local info, too. http://www.twincitiescarry.com/forum/index.php

"No, I don't because shooting at photos of people or a target of a human silhouette is illegal in Mass."

Teddy worried that he might get a few pictures in the mail with holes in them? Can you still hang a political figure in effagy? How stupid.

I made my own Osama targets, download the pic from the FBI website, print it out on 8x11 paper, got a half dozen used cardboard boxes, pasted ol'sama's head on the cardboard. Hot glued the cardboard to a bit of 1x strapping and had some targets ready for the next day...

Fun was had by all

One target was left in our friends front window, someone drove by and asked the next day "Who was the guy with the turbin standing in the living room?"... lol

Actually, Ted had nothing to do with it. It was a MA State Senator that found out that some people in his district where using his photo as a target. He created the bill with the help of some strong anti-gun allies in the Senate and House. It passed easily. I also believe he was from Berkshire county, which is the furthest western county and most rural part of the state with many hunters, who of course voted for him.

Big no-no in the DC metro area. Some bozo showed up with pics of a prior prez or first lady & the ss was called out right-quick. B-27's and human sillouette targets seem ok, but actualy likeness of people is a no-go around here.

Yeah, at the indoor range they have a laugh at people who bring in weird targets.

I tried making a target of my GF being held hostage by a ski-maked gunman,, she didnt go for it  .

I had some Bin Laden targets I was going to shoot with my
young nephew . Showed a young couple before we started they
thought they were cool .
Another old busybody was there He says " We don't shoot Human targets here "
As upset as he was getting I took it down before we even got the first shot off.
Saw the club President later that week and asked him about it .
He says no problem they were even passing Bin Laden targets
out for free . And it was only paper ,It was shortly after 9-11
Heck I would take a shot at my own picture .
I think if I rememember correctly got the from Letargets.com
E-mailed them and asked if it was illegal to shoot
the targets with humans .
Said the never heard any laws against it . If they do would let me know.
Never heard anything from them .

Bill
