Ok I know I want a gun that can be carried cocked and locked similar my CZ-75B and have narrowed it down to these to.

9mm only.

Both can be had with ambi thumb safeties and no mag disconnects.

Dont want another CZ, I like the gun but want something different.

The M & P generally goes for about $100 more.

I dont care about concealed carry, this is a range gun.

Of these two which has the best

-accuracy
-cheap, quality mags available
-quality belt holsters
-customer service
-reliability and durability

I was leaning towards the smith but the I recently discovered the Taurus OSS after looking at the XDM, SR9.

I've shot the OSS in 9mm and it's a fine pistol. Lots of people say they shoot low, the one I shot did not. It feels great. Don't know anything about reliability, but it's owner has no complaints. A friend just purchased an M&P 40 cal and he loves it. I have not had the pleasure of firing it however.

 The M&P does not have a hammer and is not a "cocked & locked" gun. Even on a model with a thumb safety, it is only "locked."

Get a Taurus PT 92, sorry given your choices and cocked and locked mentallity I think the Taurus PT 92 better suits your needs. I would have suggested the FNP 9 but magazine availability would be an issue.
