Does anyone know what size speed loader the Taurus 856 takes?
I’ve handled a friends. Located one I can get at a very attractive price.
Opinions if you’ve shot one.
Appears to be similar to Colt D-frame.

Got it. Went to another store (in state). They didn’t have the brushed aluminum frame version, only the all stainless version. It was $329, regular $399.
Got it for FREE! Well, sorta...
Had $300 in gift cards, a $20 off coupon, and a $40 credit on store credit card. $331, still have $8+ credit!

It’s a shooter! Just shot it about 50rds behind the house at 7yds. Grouped well! Was able to get under 1.5”, with 3 in one hole with 110gr Hornady XTP over stiff load of HS6 (slightly over book max for +P).
However, poi was 4” below aim. (Expected).
4.1gr of HP38 with 158gr SWC-HP (Zero brand) was +1”.
2.9gr HP38 under a Lee 148 DEWC was POA/POI. Shot a nice sub 2” cluster.
DA is smooth and not excessively heavy. There is a slight drag after cylinder lock up, due to hand dragging lightly on the star. Lock up is excellent. It has the S&W style yoke lock like a triple-lock.

I’m pleased given the price. Ejection was effortless even with hot +P ammo.
If only these had existed 40yrs ago !!!
Got two speedloaders ordered..
