I recently purchased a used Taurus 85 revolver 2" 38. In good shape but very dirty and gritty. I have managed to take every thing apart but the cylinder rod that runs through the center of the cylinder. I assumed it was like a S&W, and reverse threaded, but it won't seem to budge. I heated the piece up a bit with a hot air gun thinking that it was put togher with lock tight and needed softening, but still no luck. Is there something different about this set up. I am afraid to place any additional torque on it until I get a little more information.

    Thanks - TEX

AFAIK, those Taurus threads are still right handed.

Be sure to put empty cases in the cylinder before turning that ejector rod.
