Have anyone shot the new Taurus PT 24/7 in 9mm?

I got my hands on one at IWA, and I have to say that the grip was great!
I don't think I've ever held such a comfortable grip on a production pistol.

On the 9mm they use the Ribber Grip.
I was told by the Taurus rep that only the 9mm model would have this. A very strange decision...

The good news:
-Comfortable Ribber Grip.
-17rnd mags.
-Light rail
-Easy to use controls.

Not so good:
-Trigger just OK. Too long and heavy, but I guess this is because its a service pistol.
-Sights are attached by one screw through the top on both front and rear sight. Taurus should have used a common dove tail! :banghead:

If anyone has any knowlege of the quality of Taurus pistols today, please tell me before I get one for testing.

The April American Rifleman has a little article about the 24/7 from what I could see it looks like a scaled up millenium pro. They also mentioned that it uses the same design trigger mechanism.

My relatively new (2 month old) Millenium pro has been great so far. Trigger seems to be improving the more I shoot it, of course I thought it was pretty good to begin with. (I'm not terrible picky about triggers ;)). I've not had any trouble with the pistol and fit / finish seems to be quite good for a $300 gun.

I'd probably buy a 24/7 if I thought I could get a 17 round magazine for it. Even with the federal AWB set to sunset, NY has it's own version which forces me to stay with 10 rounders :(

From what I've read here based on folks experiences with Taurus pistols quality is spotty. I've owned exactly one and like it, pretty small sample though.

I'm sure others will chime in.
