I picked up my Taylor's Smokewagon DE by Uberti today. I am pleased with the fit & finish on it, as I was with my Uberti Remington New Army. It also came from Taylor's and Midway. It looks a lot better than my bad pictures.

I see now that I am going to have too get a reloader, $40 dollars for a box of 50 in .45 colt.

Now the search for a good gunbelt. A few makers that I am looking at are Mernickle, Frontier and Alfonso's.

That's a nice looking rig! Yes, if you do much shooting at all, you'll have to reload.

That's great! Have a Uberti (Cimarron Model P) myself, and I quite enjoy it. I shoot smokeless, as well as real blackpowder in it.

You'll definitely want to reload. Good news is, the 45 Colt is one of the most versatile and easiest to reload cartridges out there. You can use just about any 45 caliber bullet, and just about any powder. Don't have to worry about overall cartridge length if the bullet has a crimp groove; just seat until the case rim is at the groove and roll crimp.

Nice looking revolver. I have a 45 caliber 5 1/2" SA, with two cylinder, long Colt and ACP. Like it alot.

Another holster you might consider is by Simply Rugged. They make a pancake holster that carries the revovler well, high up and tucked in. Works in the field or in the city.

Nice gun... When I was looking at Taylor's I narrowed it down to the Smokewagon and the Engraved Cattleman. I wound up with the Engraved Cattleman but the action on the Smokewagon was sure slick...
