This weird piece of modern art just showed up. Feels good in the hand. Will definitely cover light duty cutting. Slices paper and shaves hair just fine. M390 steel.

Not an all day hard use knife though.

Nice...although a bit pricey for me. WE makes some sexy stuff!

How is the pocket clip? It looks like it might be tough to actually to use.

It’s a little too stiff, and my one gripe with the knife. The end is recessed slightly in the frame also so it’s actually a bit difficult to get on and off your pocket. It works and you sure won’t lose the knife though.

That’s why I asked...it looks like it would be tough to get the pocket hem under it! (Still a sexy tool, though!)

Yesterday I carried my Buck 501 and the Buck 110 for a while, then back to the Spyderco.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Honestly the unique nature of the design is what drew me in more than expecting it to be an EDC, hard use kind of knife. I actually was thinking about taking the clip off and filing it ever so slightly to increase it's ease of carry, but I have several other knives that will all serve that purpose if need be. This will be an around the house knife for me most likely where the clip isn't even needed.

Well my parents got me a nice Buck Knife for Christmas and thanks to AZ knife laws I can also carry my Hanwai Katana as well. Gotta love 100% legal loopholes!

Now is a good time to learn the difference between a "loophole" and law. Knife Rights worked to remove limits on blades in AZ like they've done across the country. So, they intentionally got blade length remove from AZ law.

Another important point is to understand that just because something may not be illegal doesn't make it smart to do because there are plenty of other laws that might be applied and paying bale or for an attorney is an expensive lesson.

Oh trust me it's more than ok to carry this here, I've asked all the proper authorities.

Stop to consider the reaction of folks on the sidewalk as you mosey about with a katana stuck in your sash or strapped to your back. Then think about the effort that went into putting common sense into the blade length limit laws that had been imposed by frightened folks and those who think if you have the means for mayhem you will inevitably hack your way to the headlines.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

I have done this. I've even had people come up to me telling me that they felt safe knowing someone was armed and knowledgeable In the weapons use. It's pretty much a big conversation starter which I'm a-ok with.

You're about to learn a very unpleasant lesson some day between legal and reasonable at some point. Remember we advised you against this.
And I've been carrying it for years and nothing's ever happened. Please don't assume I'm some simpleton when it comes to carrying a weapon. I have literally asked everyone of my friends on the police and sheriff department and they've all told me the same thing, "carry your weapon responsibly and don't be a dumbass, you'll be fine." I'm sorry if the idea of a person carrying a sword is to archaic for you to understand but in my exsperance I've been better off with something rather than nothing.

Interesting line of reasoning--I don't quite follow it. You're saying that your only choices are carrying a sword or carrying nothing? From some of your other posts, it appears that you have a number of legal options for self-defense weapons besides a sword. How does that equate to a choice between a sword or "nothing"?

Also interesting. I'm having trouble picturing people approaching a man carrying a sword in public and telling him that he's making them feel safe.

I would agree with this advice, generally speaking, but given the specific circumstances in this situation would probably provide a significantly shortened version of it.
